Example: What does a "dream car" mean to you?

I personally like to keep my dream cars as in reach as possible. They arent the most expensive, fastest, or sexiest- nor the most expensive (I actually hate expense. For obvious reasons. The cheaper a car is = the faster you can get it; the faster you can get it = the more time you have to enjoy it.), but they either are unique in a way that I just love, or just plain fun!

My dream car(s)?

Subaru Impreza WRX STi (might go due to cars below)
Mazda Miata MX-5 (might take the STi's place due to price, fun-factor, size, and reliability)
Toyota MR2 (Might take the STi. Same reason as the Miata really)

How about you?! Whats it mean to you? Whats your dream cars?

My dream cars are based on design or innovation (1932 Ford Vicky, 1957 Thunderbird). Some designs are just classic and almost art just to look at.
There are others which were or are just pure speed machines (Stutz Bearcat, Ford GT40).
What they all have in common for the most part was a step towards speed and performance. Two seated cars seem to take precedence.
As much as I wish I could afford a Ford GT, early Jag XKE or a Benz Gull-wing (50's version), I am happy with my Miata/s. They are over 20 years old now (1990's). Along with a fickle RX7, I have the dream cars I can afford.
The Miata is the best choice. This is based on ownership and doing a little "Ridge Running" against the likes of MR2's, Ford GT Mustangs, BMW's, Evo's and WRX's. Been a lot of those others come and go in the hands of more affluent car owners. However "Little Blue" still has their respect. They can keep trading cars, and they can catch me on the straights, however the passing zone is gone before they can catch up and in the turns "Little Blue" just pulls away.
Now I want to warn you, drivers skill (and sometimes level of insanity) has a lot to do with these games. Sheer acts of speed and/or stupidity are to be avoided even on a closed race course and most certainly not on the open road.

Example: Hilarious dream, but what does it mean? Sexy professor cleaning toy cars?

Okay, this dream is really funny, but I'm confused as to what it means. I dreamt that I met this sexy professor out in a busy street and she was like "do you know me?" and I was like "no" and she said "good."

Then we were at my house. She was cleaning my toy cars in a very sexy way: soaping things up and blow drying :D. I was in the backseat of a big toy car watching and then she got in the backseat with me and we began a little foreplay and then my mother comes out and ruins the whole thing. And from then on I try to have sex with the professor again and she will have nothing to do with me.

What does this dream mean?

Example: Dream that someone stole my deceased dad's classic car?

Background: My dad has been dead for 16 years. When he was alive, he was really into classic cars. He kept and maintained a 1957 Chevy Nomad.

In the dream, I drove my dad's classic car to our downtown small town (I don't live there anymore and haven't for 30 years) - the car didn't look like any car he had owned in his life - it was orange and small. I parked it downtown, but then a group/gang took it over and started to dismantle it. They acted as if they had a right to do so. I kept calling 911, yet no one would pick up. I also kept trying to call my dad, but he did not answer the phone, either.

The gang completely dismantled the car and took it away. I felt helpless.

One of the gang members, a light skinned black guy, said he wanted to speak with me again and he gave me his number. He said his name was Wayne (my dad's name, too). I took his number as I planned to give it to the police later so they could track down the car. I female member of the gang also gave me her number.

In the end of the dream, I was aware they took the car to "Osceola." That is a real city in Michigan, my former home state (I no longer live there). I have never been to Osceola.

What do you think the dream means?

Example: First car, classic?

I want to buy a classic as my first car not something EXTREMELY old but around 81 and up, i was thinking about a 1981 camaro with below 100,000 miles on it? would this be a good first choice or will it be nightmare upon nightmare? Money is not a extreme issue im fresh out of highschool and making 50,000 a year. So i could afford the odd repair once or twice a year but would it be weekly repairs and unreliable? It snows here aswell. It would also be my daily driver but i mean they made these cars in the 80s to drive so they should be able to use as a daily driver these days

What do you think the dream means?

Example: Classic car restoration?

Hi, my name is blaze and my dream is to own a classic car. When I first started looking i wanted a 67 mustang fastback like the one from gone in 60 seconds but that was pretty much shot down because of money. Even a 67 not running and has a lot of rust was like 6000 well for a fastback. I almost got a coupe that was not running but just needed a few things like a new carborator and other stuff and one little spot of rust for only 3500 I thought the guy was crazy but I didn't want to argue with him ha ha .So now my first question: since the mustang is not affordable, what is a cheaper way to go for a stylish, affordable classic car. I also have been looking for a old firebird , trans am and camaro like 69-74, also I would like to add that I want to drive this car everywhere. I wouldn'd just keep it in my garage and only drive it one day a week. Also if you know what kind of engines these cars have . and which is the best for them for,MPG,price, performance. one last question I am not that mechanical I mean I have been toying around with my little POC dodge neon but i hate it! it doesnt work well and its always dieing and I pretty much know every part of an engine and their purpose and how engines work, but not how to install or uninstall them.one last question, is there like kits for the unexpienced for like engine where they send all the parts to build and engine from scratch and drop it in my 74 trans am or maybe camaro.thanks for all the help

What do you think the dream means?

Example: My dream car... 1971 Chevelle SS?

So my mom said if I graduate community college with my associates degree she will get me another car. I am not spoiled, I am 16 and already going to college so I deserve this. I decided I wanted my dream car, a 1971 Chevelle SS. I am a female, and I think I would look awesome in one (: so my questions are

How much would one go for, just all stock?
How much would the re sale value go down if I decided to change the paint?
What is the gas mileage for one?
I personally like the original blue with white racing stripes, but what color looks best in your opinion?
What should I look for when buying one?

Now this is not going to happen for a while, I just like to be prepared. Thanks (:
