Example: What does it mean to dream of burying gold?

I dreamt my cousin gave me a rock of gold it later began to turn into granules.

I was on the front porch of a wealthy house, the front door was gated by two black gates which were open. There was a pool nearby which i dont think i went into, but at some point i became worried abt the gold being stolen and was at the bottom of what may have been the pool but looked like the bottom of the sea.I buried the gold in the sand and covered it with a huge conch shell so noone could find/steal it.

i dont think it has to do with material wealth, what does it mean?

It doesn't have to do with material wealth. Be careful what your cousin gives you or says to you or encourages you to do. A rock of gold that turns to granules/dust is not gold at all. Your cousin does not have the right answers for you. There may also be dishonesty or trickery from your cousin.

The water is also key to this dream. Water is the symbol of emotions. You bury the gold beneath the sea "so that no one could find/steal it." Have you closed your heart somehow? Have you been hurt emotionally? Somehow, this issue is linked to your cousin.

The two gates that protect the front door to the "wealthy"house are "black" - that struck me as odd. Betrayal. Has your cousin betrayed you somehow, and this is instilled mistrust in you?

Example: I am writing a new story now. I have helped lots of u out so help me plz. I need to know about mermaids... :)?

I am Caitlyn, I have helped out many of you writers on your writing questions... now I need a lot of people to pool their resources and knolege. If you could be so kind as to tell me anything you know about mermaids and mermen and underwater (magical) life. I dont mean that you respond with 'I dont believe in mermen and mermaids' I mean you respond like:
"When manatees were first discovered, people called them mermaids."

I am beginning a book about underwater mer-people. It needs to be creative, like the Tail of Emily Windsnap and Ingo (two of my favorite books in the entire world that I find myself reading over and over again)

So I need questions answered like what civilizations thought that there were "sea savers" or "mer-folk" out there... If you dont know the history dont bother looking it up... I just want to hear what things all of you have heard, believed, not believed, thought of, created, or just dreamed up, about mer-folk. It can be crazy. I just want to hear honest stories. What you thought about them. This will sereiously help me locate the origins of the Mer-folk myths and help me locate who first drempt them up.

Anything is welcome so long as you believe that It is constructive and worth my time. If you have more to say on the subject or would like me to critique your work, please feel FREE to email me and I PROMISE to get back to you!

Thank you so much!

Example: What is Iles Des Saintes in the Caribbean region?

Example: Help. Need meaning of dream?

I had a dream my friends and me were at the swimming at the beach. I was swimming and I bumped into someone, I turned around and it was my teacher. I ignored him and kept on swimming and playing with my friends. Later I was alone, standing in shallow water and I saw a conch shell. I picked it up and for some reason I thought 'this isn't supossed to be here' and I put it under the water again, but it kept floating to the surface of the water. I kept pushing it down, but it was no use it kept floating back up. Suddenly someone was next to me, it was my teacher. He picked up the conch shell and buried under the sand. Then I woke up. Could yall help me figure out what this means?

Example: How does one distinguish between a significant dream and a nightmare? Please help me sort this one out.?

On 3Jan08 I dreamt about a knockout fight with a sibling who wanted to break my neck with a vise grip.Later a spirit entered my room. That siblingillegally removed the doors and changed the locks to a house I owned in Feb08 and one of her sons is squatting there. It is now a legal matter.Recently I dreamt about being on a shallow bank with conchs. One had a pretty pink shell and I got it.The conch was pulling on my hand like a human.Later,a preschooler dove off a cliff into the ocean. Finally, someone was playing with my feet but I could not see the person.I found this recent dream strange as I am vegetarian and find conch to be nothing but a slimy sea snail! Also, I do not like anyone to play with my feet. A sister who died in 2005 was in the dream. She did not seem happy about something by her countenance, but she did not speak.Should I dismiss it as a nightmare? The only person of significance is my deceased sibling and she has crossed the time barrier between us.

Example: I keep having the same dream over and over?

So i've had this dream every night for the past 3 or 4 nights.
I'm walking barefoot along the path next to the canal by my house, there's a path with water on both sides, the canal on one and a stream on the other. On one edge of the path there's all these sharp shells and glass and it hurts my feet a little bit to walk on it, but i keep walking there anyway because the view of the field on the other side of the stream looks nicer when i stand on that edge of the path. As i start to get to the end there's even more glass and it starts to really hurt my feet, but i keep walking there any way because the field looks so much nicer from that edge of the path, and then i wake up.
any ideas what this means?

Example: What does the quote mean from lord of the flies?

The quote is : ' the shell was interesting and pretty and a worthy plaything: but the vivid phantoms of his day dream still interposed between him and Piggy who in this context was an irrelevance.'

The bit about the plaything, as the conch represents democracy, does it mean that democracy is going to be not taken seriously? What does it mean when it calls the conch a worthy plaything?

And also I don't get the bit after the colon. Can someone help me? I have to analyse this quote for an essay. Thanks in advance
