Example: What does this dream mean?

I'm a believer of dreams meaning something usually so i would like to interpret this one dream I had a few nights ago that I remember vividly.

Something happened before but I don't remember. It was winter and it was the afternoon. I found my grandfather, who I live with, dead by the sledding hill near my house [blood from his nose and he was just lying there] and I tried to drag his body to my backyard shed but instead of it being his body, it was my body. I told my grandmother, that I also live with, something about my other body being dead [that part, i don't remember as well], and then out of no where I started crying about my grandfather being dead. My grandmother told me to shut up and stop crying because it was useless but I knew she was genuinely hurt. [She yells when's she's mad/really sad/upset]. And then I woke up and I was dazed.

Please help because I'm really confused.

I think I can help - you decide.

If the scene is winter, then that could symbolically mean a kind of coldness, or cold feeling, to something happening in your waking life. Late afternoon could mean that the issue or event or change that the dream describes is happening "late", possibly late in your life, or it just took a long time for you to get to this point, or something else just late about the issue.

Your grandfather's body changes to your body because this is really about you, and that is the case for all dreams - they are about the dreamer. Don't worry that this dream might mean that your grandfather might suddenly die soon (the meaning usually isn't literal), but don't let my saying that keep you from giving appropriate attention to his frailty or health (if those need attention).

So, your grandfather dying in your dream would tend to mean that there is something about his influence on you, the values, beliefs or instincts that he instilled in you, that is "dying". Dying seems dramatic and negative, but dreams exaggerate, and it may be painted this way as a death because you actually have some regret or bad feeling about the change. It is hard to change, and we are often afraid of it, or mourn it - and that is why death is sometimes an appropriate metaphor for the passing of some belief, attitude or behaviour in your life.

If you are dragging the body to the backyard, it means that you are keeping this change relatively private (front yard is more public and visible), and taking it to a shed might mean you are trying to hide it to some extent (from yourself as well as others). Dragging the body can mean that there is something that is "dragging" around the issue represented by the dead body. That could either be related to time (like the lateness of the afternoon), or to burden, like what dragging around something dead would really feel like. You don't want to be doing that too much or too far, you'd want to bury the body (with appropriate ceremony) sooner rather than later.

Even your grandmother in your dream is not necessarily representing herself. Like your grandfather, she could be representing what was instilled in you, but by your grandmother. So look at what she is like, and try on this meaning: a part of you that is either like your grandmother, or influenced by your grandmother, was instilled by your grandmother is telling you to shut up and stop crying about what the death of grandfather means.

Well, you probably need to both "cry" or mourn this passing, or mark it in some way, and tell yourself to move on (like a "jump on the bus" idea). The crying, the comment from grandmother about the crying, and the hurt that grandmother feels - these are likely all things that you feel about the passing of some grandfather influence (attitude, belief, behaviour, or some issue related to grandfather).

Hope that helps - does it?

Example: What does it mean when you dream about your dead grandpa after couple days from passing away?

My grandpa was sick and died in June cause he had kidney disease. Last time I saw him was in march, I didn't get to see him before he died because he lives in Mexico and I had to go to school. And really wanted to see him. After my grandpa died, I had a dream about him. Now, my grandpa before he died, He was grumpy guy to some. He would dress poorly, not take a shower and so on. In my dream, he was clean and super dressed up like any other old man. He smiled at me. It felt real. It always tripped me out and been wanting to know exactly what it meant.

Example: What to these dreams mean?

well its two dreams and i have no idea what they mean. the first one happened a week age:i was with my mom (who passed away recently) and my sister and we were talking then suddenly I saw this dead cat just lying there, I saw the cat twice. the second one: I was walking suddenly i saw the moon with a blue glow and strange symbol next these missiles flew over head and everyone started running screaming that 'the war' started I can't figure out what these mean if u can help plz do thnx.

Example: What does a dead turtle in my dream mean?

This is quite strange for me and i am really shocked,
I was definitely chasing something, but i realized i was going in circles, so i found the glitch of what's making me do this and it was someone in a pool of water. i couldn't tell if it was a woman or man but i had to kill it, it was evil so i slit it's wrists and drowned it, i don't believe i successfully killed it but i got it enough to where i could run off to a house. It was a friend's house that i once held a very bad grudge against and she was moving away, so i immediately felt sympathy for her. My Brother brought a box of chocolate turtles for the parting and we all ate some, little did we know that these turtles were alive. So i took the remaining box and i took out each turtle and peeled away the chocolate and was surprised they were alive still, however as i peeled their skins were burnt and i was extremely sad to see this, but every time i was close to saving one, they slipped and died in my hands. Every time i tried to save each turtle they slipped and died. I woke up feeling extreme emotions as if i was really crying.

What would this mean?

Example: What did this dream mean?

Last night, I dreamt that my mum told my brother that someone was dead, I asked who and she said my Grandad was dead. I started crying... then, the dream changed, I was in my room and crying about my nan who died in 2000 of cancer and I was looking at a wardrobe she had left me.

What does this dream mean? And why did I dream my grandad was dead?

Example: What could this dream mean?

I would call this a nightmare since I woke up a bit scared. But, it wasn't scary the entire time .. so, we'll call it a dream. Bear with me though, it may end up being pretty long. :P

The earliest part I can remember is being in a public restroom with two girls. One kept saying "Katherine" & the other kept saying "Mary." Eventually they said the names at similar times & "Mary-Katherine" was said in the same voice. I have a best friend named Mary, though I don't see why I would be having a dream related to her. & I also have quite the crush on a girl named Katherine, though I haven't seen nor spoken to her in quite a few months as she lives in a completely different country & can't afford internet at the moment. Anyway, this part of the dream got weird when one girl started saying something about someone being shorter than her. I laughed because I was apparently shorter than her. But, all of a sudden, I grew without realising I had grown .. I was suddenly heaps taller than both of them.

Things started to get really strange when we left the bathroom, & somehow ended up at a place which resembled a funeral home, but at the same time, not really. There was this exhibit type of thing which had a picture of a young looking man who was dressed up in 1940s-esque American Army attire. I don't know what, but I remember something being black with red stripes .. maybe it was his uniform? Anyway, I had never seen this man before in my life, but everyone who was with me wanted to see his dead body & mourn his loss. (The two girls with me had morphed into my mother & an older version of my sister .. she's 6 right now, but she appeared to be in her late teens. My mom looked the same as now.) A woman there told us that his body was downstairs in a special place, but that it wasn't finished yet. We could come back at a later time to see him.

So, we left. I don't know what happened next, but my mom "woke" me up, & told me that we could go to a different place to see his body. I didn't want to go because dead bodies kinda skeeve me out, & we didn't even know the guy while he was alive, but my mom said "it would be interesting to see if people look different when they die." I didn't understand that statement at all, because my grandfather died years ago, & we were at the wake & the funeral .. I mean, my mom has gone to a few wakes in her life - you would think she would know how people look in caskets.

I think I ended up seeing the guy dead, because I remember waking up scared as ever.

What in the world does this dream mean? There seems to be a lot going on, to me at least, aside from the theme of the guy being dead. So, I'm assuming that maybe that bathroom part happened earlier into my sleep in a completely different dream I can't remember. I have a dream dictionary, but I don't know where it is right now.

I was talking to my friend earlier in the day yesterday about having weird dreams, if that influences anything at all.
