face

How a person presents themselves, or what they choose to show to the world.

If a person's face appears differently in a dream than in reality, consider how it is different—it may be saying something about how you view that person. For example, your mother's face appearing 30 years younger than she is could mean that you think of her as young-at-heart.

Random faces often show up during twilight sleep, when you are dropping off to sleep or waking up. These can seem like they carry significant meaning when they actually do not.

Example: Flea market/ swap meet, movie theater, house on a beach with rising ocean. What do my dreams mean?

Common dreams I have:

1) My school is a flea market / swap meet. One time my legs became heavy and painful to move while I was walking the campus. One time I got lost on campus; it was turning dark; I found myself walking out onto this balcony/pier area that overlooked a coast line with a skyline that resembled Los Angeles or NYC (a bit more neoclassical looking, though); I began running down this steep pier towards land; I'm now running on one of those jogger areas in the dark lit up by a few street lights; I then find myself in an area filled with chain-link fences; then I find myself at my campus' parking lot structure; I'm lost again

2) I sometimes find myself sitting in a movie theater watching a movie with a crowd consisting entirely of people from all my schools. One time the movie theater broke into pieces over the water creating dozens of little floating groups of chairs. I remember finding myself with my crush.

Example: Dream interpreters what do these dreams mean?

Two dreams. The first one happened the other night, the second one happened last night.

First dream: a fire broke out, i don't know where it happened, it was on grass. Anyway, i tried to put it out with my foot but it didn't work, the fire just spread. I remember thinking to myself "Oh no not again", in my dream i had a memory of it happening twice before.
Anyway, the fire was pretty intense. There was a load of people from the community trying to put it out, my brother was one of them. His friend was somewhere in the fire and i remember panicking and telling him to do whatever he must to get his friend out (i really like him in reality). My sister was also in the fire but for some reason i didn't care, all i cared about was my brother's friend's safety. Anyway, i started running, i had my phone and was trying to phone him but there was no answer, by this point i was nearly having a panic attack over his safety.
Finally it answered, but some man answered and said "sorry but we are unable to take your call as there is no-one in the world available at the minute.
I then ended up in a hospital, my brother was in it, he was in ward 8, and i remember walking up the corridor, on each door i recall seeing ward 3 and 8.
Inside he was laying on a bed, beside him on his bedside was a ridiculously large book and on top of it was a pane of glass.
Btw, i didn't see anyone get burnt in the dream.

Second dream: I don't remember a lot about this dream, but i do remember that:
The guy i like was in this dream again. It was dinner time, he was in another room and his dinner had gotten cold, so i reheated it for him, there was chicken on the plate, i set the table for him with napkins and a knife and fork and made him a cup of coffee. I didn't have any dinner, instead i just ate a banana.
The dream changed, i was walking through the city centre to go to college. As i was walking, i had a plate of food, a fried eggs two sausages and bacon which i was eating whilst walking. I thought it was weird, but i looked round and someone was walking along drinking something from a mug, so i didn't think anything of it.
I also remember at some point during my dream that i was reading my horoscope, i can't remember what it said but it was something good, like good news.
That's all i can remember, maybe this dream doesn't mean anything i don't know but thought i'd ask anyway.

Could you please interpret these dreams?
Thank you

Example: What does this weird island dream mean?

...I'm on vacation with my boyfriend... we fly (by plane) to a tropical paradise-- somewhere near Thailand, Vietnam, or maybe the Seychelles-- to an island, with a name that begins with the letter 'P'... we arrive at the place we'll be staying, suitcases in hand-- it's not a hotel, but a beautiful dream home, that we've managed to purchase somehow-- I'm overjoyed-- we'll be living there, from now on-- in a series of charmingly rustic wooden cabins-- the cabins are on stilts-- each cabin contains a single room (most of the rooms are square, or rectangular in shape) & they stretch from the white sand beach, out into the turquoise water, connected to each other by suspension bridges made of rope & wooden slats. We enter the first cabin, and begin to explore our new home-- each cabin leading to the next, on and on... cabin, suspension bridge, cabin, suspension bridge... the turquoise water is breathtakingly beautiful, & calm... there are no glass panes in the cabin windows-- the windows are square, open to the air; they frame the sea & sky, so that it looks like a painting, and balmy, sea breezes pour in... the cabins are spare-- most contain no furniture at all, or else they are simply decorated-- one room contains a single woven hammock-- another has a white canopy bed, and a marble & oak washstand-- another contains a few clay vases, a few seashells, and a Japanese pottery incense burner, w/ incense burning in it... most of the rooms are empty, though-- I don't mind... I'm just so happy, to be in my dream home... the last cabin door lets out onto the steps of an enormous ziggurat (sp?), made of white sand, rising up from the ocean, and almost reaching the sun-- I begin to climb its steps, and I wake up-- trying to remember the name of the island, whose name begins with the letter 'P,' and maybe has an 'S' in it-- (something like pagos, or maybe pesache*?)

*sounds like pesach, or Passover, but am not Jewish in real life, tho' I grew up in NYC.

Example: Can anybody tell me what a dream about having glass shattered over you means?

I had a dream the other night that is really puzzling/bothering me.

Not sure how it happened, I believe some giant window pane or something shattered and all of the shards rained down onto me and were embedded everywhere in my skin.

I started pulling the shards out and when I pulled them out, they turned into acupuncture needles (I had been talking about acupuncture earlier, so that part makes sense)

But there were people trying to help me, and I glass in my eyes but I could still see, and there were shards in my throat and I was trying to tell people I was choking on the glass, but I couldn't, I could just feel the shards in my throat.

Any ideas on what that means? My life has been a real mess lately... I'm on a lot of psychiatric drugs for anxiety and depression and going to therapy. Could it have something to do with that?

Example: What do you think this dream means?

I dreamt I was on the top bed of a 17 bunk, bunk bed (what a sentence). Instead of railings around the bed, it was glass panes. I remember feeling very unsafe and scared, the beds were swaying and I felt I couldn't get down because it was too dangerous. Any thoughts on what it means?

Example: I dreamed of falling thru sheet after sheet of glass...from a huge building...means what?

I dreamed I was free falling...facing the sky...thru pane after pane of glass. The glass was breaking my fall. I survived when I hit the ground...and was able to drive off.

The glass was arranged like the different floors of a skyscraper would be.

How odd!
