Example: Strange dream involving cats, foxes and a guy I'm seeing.?

Hi everyone,

I had a strange dream last night and would love help interpreting it. It's kind of long and detailed so bare with me. :)

Here's some background info. Don't know if it matters. The guy I'm starting to see is trying to figure out how to break up with his girlfriend (they live together). Anyway, so that part of the dream is true to life. Also, I don't have a cat, but I am a huge animal person.

Dream:

The guy I'm seeing and I are at some retreat place. My family was also there, including my parents, aunts and uncles, family friends and a number of small cousins. We were all sitting at a long table eating and it was located outside. My guy is sitting on my left. I kept calling him just a friend, but everyone at the table referred to him as my date. Whenever they did that he and I would just smile at each other, but not correct them. He impressed my dad with his wine knowledge, how smart he is, and his outgoing, charming personality. He was also really good with the kids at the table. Periodically throughout the meal he would grab my hand under the table and intertwine our fingers and rub my palm. He would also occasionally rub my thigh with his hand. In the dream we were together, but he still had the girlfriend and so we weren't openly together in public.

Then all of a sudden a cat had gotten loose and I ran out to find it. The cat wasn't black. It was short haired and had white, brown and orange coloring. I felt I really cared for the cat. I was really scared that it would get killed or lost. Somehow I knew there were foxes around that would kill or hurt the cat. Suddenly I found the cat and carried it back to the retreat buildings. I was very relieved to have found it. I then went to my guy who was in his sleeping bag outside. He lifted the top part so I could get inside. He then pulled me to him and wrapped his arms around me. He then kissed me on the lips and pressed his cheek to my forehead, asking if I had found the cat. I replied that I had and he said "good". There were other people around in their sleeping bags - I never saw them in the dream, but I could sense them. I don't know if I knew them or not. My guy wanted to be alone with me, so he got out of the sleeping bag and helped me out. He then took my hand and we went off to find a spot where we could be alone and have sex. I then woke up, before we had sex.

So that's my strange, rather vivid dream. Would love help interpreting it!

Thanks!

Having a cat in your dream could mean that you may be expressing some fear or frustration especially when something is not going as planned .For example the guy you are seeing is having a difficulties of leaving his girlfriend and you are worried.Also as mysterious, aloof creatures, cats symbolize the intuition, and when they appear in dreams they may be asking us to use our intuition more, to rely on our gut feelings and instinct.I can also notice that there is alot of sexuality in your dream and in a woman's dream, a cat may indicate feelings of sexual prowess, of feeling in charge of her sexuality. She may feel like going out on the prowl and may feel confident doing so.
Regarding the foxes in your dream you need to use your insight and intellect to solve the problem. Perhaps you need to conceal your thoughts and/or remain silent. Alternatively, it indicates a period of isolation or loneliness. It is a good way for you to use this time to reflect
In general the way i see your dream is that the guy you dating is actually interested in you and you share ( or will share ) great intimacy,what would you want is that your relationship becomes more official and it seems that is still not going in that direction wich bothers you.
Only you know him the best and is he true to you or not!
Talk to him and never push him to brake up.Ask him if you can be of any help! If you see that it is taking too long for him to make up an decision then you know what is best to do!

Example: Question about John Keats poetry? best answer=100pts?

Here is the John Keats poem "ode to a nightingale"
Ode to a Nightingale

My heart aches, and a drowsy numbness pains
My sense, as though of hemlock I had drunk,
Or emptied some dull opiate to the drains
One minute past, and Lethe-wards had sunk:
'Tis not through envy of thy happy lot,
But being too happy in thine happiness,-
That thou, light-winged Dryad of the trees,
In some melodious plot
Of beechen green, and shadows numberless,
Singest of summer in full-throated ease.

O, for a draught of vintage! that hath been
Cool'd a long age in the deep-delved earth,
Tasting of Flora and the country green,
Dance, and Provencal song, and sunburnt mirth!
O for a beaker full of the warm South,
Full of the true, the blushful Hippocrene,
With beaded bubbles winking at the brim,
And purple-stained mouth;
That I might drink, and leave the world unseen,
And with thee fade away into the forest dim:

Fade far away, dissolve, and quite forget
What thou among the leaves hast never known,
The weariness, the fever, and the fret
Here, where men sit and hear each other groan;
Where palsy shakes a few, sad, last gray hairs,
Where youth grows pale, and spectre-thin, and dies;
Where but to think is to be full of sorrow
And leaden-eyed despairs,
Where Beauty cannot keep her lustrous eyes,
Or new Love pine at them beyond to-morrow.

Away! away! for I will fly to thee,
Not charioted by Bacchus and his pards,
But on the viewless wings of Poesy,
Though the dull brain perplexes and retards:
Already with thee! tender is the night,
And haply the Queen-Moon is on her throne,
Cluster'd around by all her starry Fays;
But here there is no light,
Save what from heaven is with the breezes blown
Through verdurous glooms and winding mossy ways.

I cannot see what flowers are at my feet,
Nor what soft incense hangs upon the boughs,
But, in embalmed darkness, guess each sweet
Wherewith the seasonable month endows
The grass, the thicket, and the fruit-tree wild;
White hawthorn, and the pastoral eglantine;
Fast fading violets cover'd up in leaves;
And mid-May's eldest child,
The coming musk-rose, full of dewy wine,
The murmurous haunt of flies on summer eves.

Darkling I listen; and, for many a time
I have been half in love with easeful Death,
Call'd him soft names in many a mused rhyme,
To take into the air my quiet breath;
Now more than ever seems it rich to die,
To cease upon the midnight with no pain,
While thou art pouring forth thy soul abroad
In such an ecstasy!
Still wouldst thou sing, and I have ears in vain -
To thy high requiem become a sod.

Thou wast not born for death, immortal Bird!
No hungry generations tread thee down;
The voice I hear this passing night was heard
In ancient days by emperor and clown:
Perhaps the self-same song that found a path
Through the sad heart of Ruth, when, sick for home,
She stood in tears amid the alien corn;
The same that oft-times hath
Charm'd magic casements, opening on the foam
Of perilous seas, in faery lands forlorn.

Forlorn! the very word is like a bell
To toil me back from thee to my sole self!
Adieu! the fancy cannot cheat so well
As she is fam'd to do, deceiving elf.
Adieu! adieu! thy plaintive anthem fades
Past the near meadows, over the still stream,
Up the hill-side; and now 'tis buried deep
In the next valley-glades:
Was it a vision, or a waking dream?
Fled is that music: - Do I wake or sleep?

"One common, and perfectly viable, reading of the ode is to see the nightingale as a sybolic artist and its song as art; the poem is then seen to speak the traditional themes of inspiration and the immortality of art as opposed to the transience of life.."
What does this quote mean?
the 100pts was an exageration... but if you answer this question to my liking i will ask as many questions as you want and pick you for the best answer all time. THANK YOU! No, this is not my homework. It is like 1/20 of an essay so do not worry.

Example: White light dream,What does it mean?

Ok,now I don't know if this was a dream because it felt a little TOO real.I was laying down in bed and all i saw was black, i thought i just had my eyes closed. Then, in my mind, i started talking about the devil, I don't really remember what it was about, but I believe i was talking about how he can be my lord. It kinda felt like i was about to sell my soul, but before I could finish, I started talking about God. I don't remember all i said but what I do remember is that i said God is my savior, and when i said this, everything turned white and my body relaxed. I heard a ringing noise and i had a weird feeling in my chest and my heart was beating FAST. It felt so easy to open up my eyes and still my heart was beating fast. Im not a very holy, Christian person..so maybe that has something to do with it?

Example: I had this dream about a baby. I don't know what it means?

I dreamt that I was pregnant but not enough to give birth. But then I gave birth to a baby girl in someone's living room. I couldn't decide what to name her and just decided to name her Adelaide just to give her something. She was incredible beautiful and tiny. Then In my dream I blacked out and woke up with a glass of wine in one hand and the baby in a bag in the other. She was drowned in wine and a voice told me, "Look what you have done to her." I got her out and began sobbing and pressing on her chest over her heart with my thumbs. She took a a huge breath and clung to me. Then she pulled down my shirt and began nursing. After a while of that she disappeared, and the dream completely changed to a sad, sullen dark thing.

Example: #8 Dream Theme. Free Verse. From a word-search of my poems for "dreams". What do you think?

it was after two
before james fell off into deep sleep
and soon thereafter that he entered his DREAM
a piece of his clothes was caught in the machine
and the machine was drawing him in

in a moment of thirty thousand tons
of crushing force james arm was gone
the violence sent him into a stunning blackness
but it was not death
it was again the small room with one window
and the faint glow of neon
through the faded linen curtains

wrenched like a dry cork
from a bottle of cheap wine
james shot up in bed drenched in sweat
and, drained, fell over on his side

it was the same DREAM
over and over again.
i know what this is, he said
i know what this is
and i can handle it.
it’s nothing that wouldn’t be natural
for any animal
taken from the wild
and put in a cage

this is what they’ve done to me
i was a good man once
and now i have DREAMS
like a child
like a child

Example: This dream last night?

I dreamed I was with several people I did not know. We stood at a large spring that was putting forth red wine out of the ground that was spilling into a nearby river. Working together we used slats of wood as you would use in a wine press and enclosed the spring creating a pool of wine which we then drank from. It lightened our spirits and we began to sing and play instruments that we pretended to have, like a piece of wood on one's shoulder represented a violin, etc. The singing was pretended as well with sounds coming from our mouths that were more like what birds can do... I awoke with the feeling that "rivers turning to blood" might be a good thing and remembered that the Greek meaning of blood is 'water of life'. Any thoughts?

Example: Dream interpretation?

I'm pretty good at knowing when a dream is just a dream as compared to when it has a meaning for me to understand.

Last night I dreamt I was walking through a nature walk, with a glass of wine in my hand. There were houses and such beyond the fenced area of the grassy path. I was walking alone, far ahead of people in my life, I looked back to see them talking and laughing. I choose to keep walking ahead of them, knowing we would eventually meet up and valuing my private time. I was feeling disturbed and swirling my wine. I looked to the left and saw the back yard of a house and a friendly, large dog. The dog was far, but I called it and it came, running backwards to me! I noted this as odd and I pet the dog, it whimpered as I pet it's pelvis area. I continued inspecting to discover that the dog had a broken pelvis, and would cry each time you'd press on it. I showed this to a friend that caught up to me, and we didn't know what to do.

What does this mean? A dog with a broken pelvis?
Thank you!

Example: For all you pink Floyd fans out their did you hear they have a wine called pink Floyd?

June 6 (Bloomberg) -- Who knew I would ever have anything in common with Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie?

It turns out we're *like*this* when it comes to wine, because we're all fans of Chateau Miraval. That's the extraordinarily beautiful and secluded wine estate in Provence that they have just rented for three years. Lucky them -- and I can vouch for it.

I spent a couple of nights there nine years ago while tasting my way through the region and can report that the world's most famous couple will have more than decent wines to sip when in residence. Miraval now produces three fish-friendly dry whites, two savory reds, a delicious dry rose and a luscious sweet wine, L'Or de Miraval.

Tile roofs, sky-blue shutters, warm creamy stone, plashing fountains, 13 varieties of olive trees on a steep terraced hillside, 75 acres of vineyards -- Miraval is everyone's secret dream of a home in the south of France. From my room in the 14th- century part of the chateau, the view stretched over a wide green lawn to rows of vines. A deep, claw-footed tub by one window offered the same vista while I was lolling in the bath, a glass of refreshing rose in hand. (I take my research seriously.)

After breakfast, on a terrace under a pergola, I sampled the estate's wines in a light-filled room off the country kitchen and later dined with neighboring producers in the long medieval hall with immense fireplace.

I also took a peek at the recording studio on the property (Sting once used it; the Stones left after one night -- not enough local action). The estate even has a tiny private chapel, whose dark blue painted ceiling is dotted with white stars.

`Out of the Sky'

For the past two months, the French press reported Brad and Angelina crisscrossing France in a helicopter, hunting for a private spot to escape hordes of paparazzi. Tom Bove, whose family owns the property, told me last week ``they dropped out of the sky.''

``They're personally very nice,'' he said in the telephone interview. ``Brad is from the Midwest, as I am.'' (Hey, me too!)

Bove, 65, is an Indiana-born businessman (Rochem Group) who fell in love with Miraval in 1992 when he and his first wife, Jane, were looking for a vacation home. He persuaded his family to purchase the 1,000-acre estate, where wine had been made for centuries. His wife took charge of the vineyards, and they set about vastly improving the wines' quality. Tragically, she died in a 1998 plane crash.

Miraval Team

The winery and vineyard will continue to be run by the Miraval team, Bove assures me. The Pitt-Jolie household, including four kids plus expected twins (who may or may not already have arrived when you read this), won't have to worry about toxic chemical sprays on the grapes since the vineyards are certified organic. And the nearby hamlet of Correns is the first ``bio'' (organic) village in France, meaning veggies, honey and chickens all carry the label.

Besides celebs and St.-Tropez, Provence is, of course, noted for its gulpable rose wines.

When Brad and Angelina first visited, they tried the savory, salmon-colored 2007 Chateau Miraval Cotes de Provence Rose ($16) with lunch.

``It's the first vintage to be labeled ``Pink Floyd,'' Bove says. (English rock band Pink Floyd recorded part of their iconic album ``The Wall'' at Studio Miraval.) Made from cinsault and grenache grapes, it's my idea of summer in a glass.

``And they took away a bottle of our top red, Cuvee Natouchka,'' Rove adds. The 100 percent syrah ($35) is made only in the best years. Their more widely available Cotes de Provence Rouge ($22) is a spicy, earthy-fruity syrah-cabernet blend.

Zingy Whites

Miraval's three whites are all made from the local rolle grape. The 2005 Coteaux Varois en Provence Blanc ($16) is zingy and assertive, with a hint of almond, perfect with grilled fish. Two more expensive barrel-aged cuvees, made in tiny quantities, are harder to come by.

Naturally, the Brangelina buzz has already spurred sales.

``We've been inundated with calls from retailers,'' says Andrew Hirko, chief financial officer at the chateau's East Coast importer, Monarchia Matt International. ``We're sold out of the rose, and the red and white are nearly gone.''

The 2007 Pink Floyd will be on retail shelves soon. One of their biggest markets? Another celebrity haven, the Hamptons.

``I don't know how much time Brad and Angelina will be able to spend here,'' Bove says. ``But they liked Miraval's wines. I hope they'll drink them and serve them to their friends. Hey -- they can have as much as they want.''
