What does this dream mean?

I dreamt that my parents were building me a house, that was big, big! It had huge basement and roof, and not much between them. There were a lot of stairs, but if you took notice you saw that the house didn?t have a kitchen, bathrooms or bedrooms although there were some study rooms that could have turned into it. The only think I did not like was the fact that we didn?t have a large backyard, for the house was in the middle of the city. That and the fact that it had old fences, but we wanted to change them.

Then I went for a stroll into the mountains, that turned into a competition. After much wandering, I got to the beach, where there was an old, clay made house. Some guy, that was actually a centurion in disguise (duno how I knew that), told me it was an old, Roman baker?s house, and let me know that everything on that beach was the same as during Roman times. He invited me to go into the house and see it, but I knew that if I went in I would get stuck in time 200 years.

Hi Laila,

Let's see what you've got...

Dream opens by speaking of your relationship with your parents ("my parents")... something they are doing for your image ("building me a house")... The house is you... Your image...

There is a place within where old things are stored... and there is mention of your head ("roof")... Not much space here...

There are some steps that must be followed here ("lot of steps")... There are some things missing within you... No room for nourishment ("kitchen")... no place to eliminate ideas ("bathroom")... No time for rest ("bedroom")...

RESTART:

The only thing here is for you to have room to study ("study rooms")... Or perhaps you are getting into some educational aspects ("could - turn")... a possibility, it looks to be ("could")...

this is all new to you...

There is one of two things going on at this perspective - something about yourself that you don't like... It too is perspective... For one, it may be your behind ("backyard")... Dream says that you would like for it to be bigger... hmmmm... That's just the way you want your personal self... It's not an internal room, but the back part ("back yard") of your outside self ("house")... Do you understand this? cause I hope I don't... Or, it could be that you prefer to have a bigger point of view or focus. Whatever it is, you think it's too small ("didn't have large")...

The symbolic city is concerned with location where the body is concerned... This is what you are using as a reason why it appears small...

There is something that you want to change and it is something that is old. Whatever this need to change, in your perspective, the dream says that there is a barrier here... something you want to change...("fence")... It's an obstacle! - that which separates...

You are gone reminiscing ("stroll")... Something going through your mind... Something you also feel you have to compete with or fight for... You have been wondering about this alot ("much wandering")... You are at a point where you can have some quality or leisurely time here ("got to beach")...

Someone out there... A little fragile, someone ("clay")...

There is someone who is not true ("disguise"), something you picked up on too ("dunno how I knew")... he appears to be military ("centurion")... but he isn't... and you knew that for some reason... He's expressing his understanding of things ("told me")... He has told you about this someone there... someone who is fragile ("old clay")...

Something of a warning here... Something you are being told about this one... He or she belongs to someone else ("Roman Baker's house")... It appears that you are being invited to meet this person?... I could be wrong?!... But, the dream indicates that if you do, you will be stuck there ("stuck in time")... Meaning, you will be forced to spend more time there than you want... It is an invitation you recieved ("he invited")... But, you don't want to overstay your welcome.

Symbolically, this represents your feelings about your life.

Your parents gave you foundation and roof/ceiling and allowed you to design your life (house unfinished inside) anyway you saw fit. You liked house, but it was built in the middle of a city (chaos/hustle & bustle) and had outdated boundaries.

You left to find a house you liked, but found instead a unacceptable home that an authoritarian figure was pressuring you to accept.

This is my take on your dream...hope it's right!
